The new line of Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) and Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are a combination of performance and affordability. The new D-Link gigabit transceivers are available in two form factors: standard (GBIC) and (SFP). DEM-312GT2 is a high performance 1310nm multimode SFP transceiver. Supporting full duplex mode, the gigabit module operates on a multimode optical cable up to 2 km (62.5/125 µm) or up to 1 km (50/125 µm) long. The device has a metal case, which reduces electromagnetic radiation and increases the service life. The DEM-312GT2 is hot pluggable and comes with a standard warranty and free technical support.
